this valentines day i plan to get shit faced with the person who means most to me - my spinster sister.  who needs a man when you've got a kinship that has lasted longer than the spice girls and backstreet boys combined. 
i'm replacing roses with red wine, chocolate with hash.  talk about saving money.  seriously, talk about it.  

today i got into yet another pointless argument about democracy, good governance, and social justice.  it seems that people cannot agree on what should be done to improve their life; however, they understand that fundamentally change needs to occur.  arguments for the complete abolishment of government, or pruning down of government, fail to appreciate the services that should be provided to all irrelevant of political standing or state policies.  this country was bought and sold a long time ago.  it is now time to give it back to those who rightfully own it, the people.
